Our Story
OTLY 869 was created during a turning point in my life. After several years facing cognitive challenges and being out of work, I realised returning to traditional roles was not the right path for me. Having previously worked in high-value positions, I chose not to step back into roles that didn’t reflect my experience or wellbeing. Instead, I decided to build something of my own. OTLY 869 allows me to move forward at my own pace, creating designs inspired by affirmations, resilience, and the mindset of pushing through difficult moments while honouring my Caribbean heritage through the name 869
Heritage 869
The name 869 represents the international dialling code of St Kitts, a place that became deeply meaningful during a difficult period in my life.
While travelling to St Kitts and Anguilla, I discovered family connections I had previously known little about. The kindness and welcome I received there left a lasting impression and became an important part of the story behind the brand.
869 is a quiet tribute to those roots — a reminder of heritage, identity, and the strength that can come from reconnecting with where you belong.

Wear Your Resolve is about choosing to keep moving forward with purpose. The designs from OTLY 869 are inspired by affirmations and the mindset of resilience — reminders to stay focused, value the time we have, and live with intention.
Because resolve isn’t just about strength.
It’s about continuing to move forward, even when life becomes difficult.
Shadows & Sparks
Shadows & Sparks was born during a difficult time in my life.
The songs were written as reflections on personal struggles, moments of loss, and the emotional challenges that come with relationships and life’s setbacks. Writing became a way to process those experiences and turn them into something meaningful.
A female vocalist performs the songs to keep the focus on the message rather than the personal story behind them. The project represents reflection, healing, and the idea that even in darker moments, a spark of creativity can lead to something powerful.
